The photo above was taken in 1932, by photographer Dick Whittington. This is the Gaylord sans pool. Yes, our lovely cloverleaf swimming pool we know today, hidden back in our very own oasis, is not original to the Gaylord. The pool came later in the 1940's. Here we have 2 very respectable ladies (Gaylord tenants or guests) enjoying the afternoon sun while reading the papers in the original garden.
