Gertrude appeared in 41 films during her career and was married to film director, Robert Z. Leonard in 1926, who had 162 credits to his name, including the Academy Award winner for 'Best Picture' in 1936, 'The Great Ziegfeld.' Gertrude and Robert remained married until his death in 1968. Gertrude is pictured here (above) from August 1926, while living at the Gaylord. In 1925, she starred with Rudolph Valentino in 'Cobra' and Gertrude had top billing over Joan Crawford in 'The Boob,' from 1926.
