After having served as vice president for Dwight D. Eisenhower and having an unsuccessful bid for president, in 1961, Richard M. Nixon returned to California and took up residence at the Gaylord while his Trousdale Estate home (a tony neighborhood of mid-century modern homes in Beverly Hills) was being built.
It is reported he resided in one of our #02 units, the largest of our One Bedroom units, at over 1000 sq ft, with north, south and west facing views. Which #02 unit is up for debate, as we do not have record and several tenants will claim it is their apartment.
