In 1948, when the "Gay Room Cocktails & Dancing" was installed in a portion of the
Gaylord lobby (where the HMS Bounty is today), the "Buddy Worth Trio and Carol" were the headline performers for the entertainment. "Carol" was the sister of ruggedly handsome & prominent film actor, Robert Mitchum.
