The '20th Anniversary Tribute to the Film Foundation' at LACMA has begun. If you enjoy classic film noir pictures you need to hit this up. Also, go just to support the Film Foundation at LACMA. Some of the higher ups in LACMA seem to think the Film Foundation is not that important and would not mind seeing it dismantled, which is crazy for the city that has 'Hollywood' and is all about the film industry. Go to www.lacma.org to check out the listings of films and viewing times.
After a year of not having a LACMA membership, I finally renewed mine. It is still one of my favorite art institutions for its overview from classic to contemporary works and its featured exhibitions. And, I am looking forward to seeing the new Resnick Pavilion for the Olmec, Ancient Mexico and the European Fashion exhibits.
LACMA is a great place to meet up with friends and take out of town guests.
