Dia De Los Muertos!

The 11th annual 'Day of the Dead/All Souls Day' celebration will take place on Saturday, Oct. 30th from 2pm to midnight at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery, located at 6000 Santa Monica Blvd. Come on out to this festive event to honor those that have passed on in a spirited way! The celebration kicks off with a procession of 150 Aztec dancers in white costumes and there will be much more entertainment. Including lead singer of Cafe Tacuba, Ruben Albarran with musical ensemble, Hoppo. Altars honoring the dead, art exhibits & Mexican cuisine will be on hand. Admission is $10.00. This is one of those colorful events you do not want to miss. 20,000 people showed up last year, so it is suggested to take a cab there since parking will be crazy. Go to www.ladayofthe dead.com for more info on the entertainment line-up and all the details.

Olvera Street, the original historical hub of downtown, is another good destination for more 'Dia De Los Muertos' events. ENJOY!
