You look to be doing well! Back in September 2013, the film 'Tio Papi,' the brainchild of our
Gaylord resident, Joey (pictured right), made it's New York debut after a successful run on the film festival circuit and eventually found a home on HBO. Now, Joey has teamed up with Steven Van Zandt (
YES, that Steven of 'E Street Band' and 'The Sopranos' fame & pictured center above) to turn this movie into a television series. The story is based on Ray Negron's life (pictured left), who was taken in by New York Yankees boss, the outspoken & colorful George Steinbrenner and put to work within the organization and who suddenly had to take in his 6 nieces & nephews after his sister was killed in an automobile accident.
