Food in the Neighborhood...

LAWeekly came out this week with their 'The 99 Essential Restaurants' issue. Among those listed are quite a few in our Wilshire Center/Koreatown neighborhood. You can read the full list on their website at laweekly.com , but I will mention just 4 of them here and you can follow up with your own research and tastings.

- Park's BBQ at 955 S. Vermont (between San Marino & Olympic), parksbbq.com
- Pot, located inside the Line Hotel (just 2 blocks west from our home here at the Gaylord, at the corner of Wilshire & Normandie), eatatpot.com .
- Saint Martha at 740 S. Western (between 7th & 8th St.), saintmartharestaurant.com .
- Guelaguetza, 3014 W. Olympic (between Irolo & Normandie), ilovemole.com .

These are a combination of traditional Korean bbq, Korean fusion, new American cuisine and good old Oaxacan mole. So, go to their websites, read the menus, check out the prices, look at the reviews on yelp and be adventurous!
