During our wonderful heavy rain storm last Friday, I hit the roof to make sure our drains were all in working order. As I approached the west side of the roof, screeching immediately began. I looked up to see one of our regal Wilshire Blvd red-tailed hawks sitting on our Gaylord neon scaffolding and it was not very happy to see me. The hawk gave me a thorough chewing out and asked that I please leave it alone. I politely backed up and replied in return to the hawk, 'please do not break our neon because it is very EXPENSIVE to repair each time someone does break it' and left it to continue on with the business of cleaning it's feathers.
