The Gaylord Becomes Street Art...

Found this morning, as walking down Wilshire Blvd at the corner of Normandie, was this familiar image... our home, the Gaylord! Painted on the side of one of the city's utility boxes (there was some artistic license taken because the image is one story short of the real Gaylord) in front of what was originally the Wilshire Christian Church (now Oasis). Several of the utility boxes at this intersection have been painted with different views of the neighborhood. Take a walk down and appreciate the art.

Wilshire Christian Church was the first church to be built along Wilshire Boulevard, opening its doors in 1926. Two years after the Gaylord had started making a community in the neighborhood.
