This past Saturday, the husband & I met up with friends in Malibu to take a tour of the Adamson House, which is on the National Register of Historic Places. The house was designed by architect, Stiles O. Clements, who also designed our neighbor down the boulevard, the Wiltern Theater, as well as our neighbor behind us, the Chapman Market. Built by the Adamsons on the last sprawling ranch in Malibu. Today, all that is left of the property is the house with its beautiful backyard fountain & pool and the garden in front. All situated where the Malibu Lagoon & Pacific Ocean meet, having spectacular views. One of the highlights is the gorgeous tile work that was produced locally by Malibu Potteries. If you are interested in taking a docent led tour of the house, I would suggest calling ahead of time to schedule one since the interior of the house is not open to the public, unless guided.
