Event This Saturday...

On Saturday, January 21st, between 2- 5pm, poolside at the Gaylord, the keen eye of our Evan will be hosting his 'Book Launch Party.' The book contains his striking photographic images from his time spent in 'CUBA.' To make the party complete, Evan has booked a Cuban band to perform during this event.

From 1937...

One of our numerous Gaylord sleuths, Michael, spotted this treasure and appreciatively shared with us, 'HOLLYWOOD STARLAND.' This piece comes from the Library of Congress archives.

Below, I enlarged the two most important portions of the map (though they don't have the Gaylord fully configured, next to the Brown Derby, we are there nonetheless!).

Final Post 2016...

I could not think of a better way to end the year, than with a recent photo of our red-tailed hawk sitting on the 'r' of our Gaylord rooftop neon and looking off into the glorious sunset.

Winter in L.A....

It is now 77 degrees outside and just look east at those snow-capped San Gabriel mountains, off in the distance, shot from the Gaylord. You gotta love it!

...and then on this beautiful, clear day, looking south from the Gaylord, the Palos Verdes peninsula on the horizon, center & left and Catalina Island just to the right & center of the peninsula. Good L.A. winter days.
