The Eyes Have It...


If you're a fan of classic movies, you know the face well. She could tell an entire story with just her eyes. In 1938, she won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress, opposite Bette Davis, in "Jezebel." Her respected film career only having begun in 1934. Prior to that, she was an accomplished stage actress and resided at the Gaylord in 1927. Fay's storied career continued on through 1965, appearing in many television shows. She was born in Los Angeles in 1893 and passed away here in 1968. A true Angeleno & one time Gaylord resident.
