Can't make the 45 minute to hour drive up to the canyon for the reggae fest, then hop on the subway and head downtown to California Plaza, on Grand (near MOCA), for the free 'Grand Performances' this weekend. Reggae & a Day Get Away...

Tomorrow, Saturday, June 30th, head up to the canyon (Topanga), in the beautiful Santa Monica mountains and enjoy the sounds & vibes of the many reggae performances that will be happening at this years 'Reggae 'Pon The Mountain' festival. Crafty at Crafted...

The folks that brought us the galleries at Bergamot Station in Santa Monica are hoping to have success with their new venture 'Crafted' at the Port of Los Angeles, in San Pedro. The grand opening of the first phase begins this Friday and will be open all weekend. The concept, bring all of L.A.'s crafting population under one roof at the waterfront, set them up with booths and let them sell their wares to the public. There should be at least 100 vendors this weekend and they hope to eventually expand to 500 vendors inside of 2 warehouses. If you enjoy handmade, unique items, this may be worth checking out. Buzz Creates Reason for Encore Presentation...

This past week at the LA Film Fest had the first two and only viewings of 'A Band Called DEATH' sell out. An encore presentation of the film will be made this Saturday, the 23rd, at 9pm. This documentary tells the story of the first all black punk band that came out of the 70's. Don't miss this chance and Tom would greatly appreciate seeing the community come out to support the film again.
